Life lied

A smile felt in my heart,

want known in my eyes,

you speak to me.

A trust known in my soul,

desire seen as I cry,

you corrupt me.

Passion tasted in my kiss,

dreams seen in my fantasies,

you make me.

Temptation heard in my voice,

reason shown beyond me,

you take me.

Reality feared in my heart,

illusion tested in my pain,

you see me.

Emptiness left behind me,

love shown in my life,

you have me.



Where times have failed I stand up to find,

a light inside from the sun that is you.

Making me fade past the painting we created,

images stretched across the face of time.

Façade of life beautiful games my way,

into what is now seen as divine.

Not knowing the unreachable dream I let go,

to find you waiting for me in the light.

I am your shadow you are my flesh,

torn away from what life has lied about.
