Cigarette burns as my eyes become open,
long enough to see who I am in the mirror.
Shaking I scream out in painful regret,
knowing in this moment I am wasted.
Not enough tears to fill my sorrow,
endless torment burning my soul.
Seeing the image before me,
in this moment I feel again.
Life flashes through my reflection,
crying child now a broken man.
Everything lost in my purity,
nothing made clear to understand.
My vision is blurred to imperfection,
beautiful I once was, now just a hole.
Unbearable emotions crashing inside,
the waves of my sin filling my life.
