Last moment life

He waiting patiently for her in his dreams,

endless nights crawling into the days behind.

Sadly mistaken he fakes what feelings he feels,

as the sirens of life end with silence deep inside.

Fear grips his heart as understanding sets in,

all of his life, a movie before his eyes.

Childhood dreams becoming lost with age,

he remembers how things used to be.

Running away from all who tried to love him,

unaware that he was running from himself.

No smiles to convey in his sorrow so clear,

tears of hope streaming across his face.

In his heart there was always something to fear,

calling for life he is recognized by death.

Ceasing to be who or what he perceived,

images of pain etched in his mind.

Alone he was brought into this world,

leaving the same way, just a different way.

Method of regret habit formed in his breathing,

no pulse to feel he crashes to the floor.

Shame in his eyes he cries out scorn his heart,

as he dies, he sees, understands now, what life can be.
