By a river of her Love’s blood,
she counts the scars left behind.
Slowly dreaming imagination lets go,
as her hands cover the snow in bloody memories.
Dark wings on this day of solitude she cries,
unable to fly without the hope she once knew.
With a heavy heart she weeps one last time,
waiting for the moment she will see him again.
In the mist of night she dances alone with his ghost,
above the trees where rocks fade away.
Moon shinning softly her light upon her soul,
flower in her hair, love on her mind.
Whispering images fading into the deep,
desire to hold what only her Love could share.
She calls out his name in the darkness so bright,
where he stays in the shadows of her heart.
By the lake where they fell in love she sits by,
watching the ripples of life leave this place.
Hands in her lap while tears pour from her eyes,
a smile can be seen within her darkest hour.
Reflections flash across the glassy waters,
his face before her in the shallows.
Feet touching the icy liquid she thinks,
if only she could feel his touch one more time.
Ready for her life to end she starts,
spirit fades from her body as she smiles.
Eyes fixed on his image in the deep,
hearts becoming one in the light.
She holds her tears back from view,
finding peace within her last breath.
As she falls from life to the living beyond,
two lovers hold each other again.
