Requiem of Love
Written on her heart is the desire for Love to know,
bleeding trust to know blindness inside.
Saved from this life by the death of hope,
dark heart knowing only the fear of love.
Twisting beyond reasons for light,
calling out for another moment to feel.
Tempted by serpents of delight we hide,
the pages of her heart so cold.
We suffer together for the sake of love,
weakened by broken promises gone.
No salvation found in the forsaken,
lonely kisses by the heart of darker love.
Brought to her knees she cries alone,
flames burning the depth of her soul.
No hope found in her tears,
chains tying love just to be lost.
Hearts becoming the only way to darkness,
shadows play in the light forced by belief.
Take into your arms my soul once beautiful,
rise and fall forever in the darkness that is love.
Confusion lights the pathway to despair,
love now the only pain to remember.
Poisonous kiss forcing blind eyes to see,
where the lost are saved until they love.
Nothing holding us together but fear,
nothing left to hope for in the light.
Seeking to know again this painful dream,
unsure of why we suffer to know love again.
Haunting dying dreams breaking darker hearts,
finding a way to be at peace with our end.
Now that she finds peace within her prison,
love finds its way to be lost inside.
Her heart screams out for a feeling so pure,
kneeling past the darkness to Love’s arms.
Singing beautiful words of death now hope,
into the light where Love can remain.
Holding her heart she cries for my touch,
to take away the painful life of the living.
Taking my love into her arms she pleas,
warped maze in our requiem of Love.
