Everyday our day

Sometimes I just can’t explain,

how my heart feels when with you.

I reach to the stars to show me,

yet still I hold those wishes in my hands.

The highest mountains I have trekked to find,

how high my feelings can show.

No peak will ever know my soul,

nothing high enough to explain.

In the deepest waters I tried to find,

how deep my love could reach.

And as I dove to touch the bottom,

I could see it wasn’t as deep.

I ran across the hottest desert to know,

if there was ever a thirst to reveal.

How in need of water to survive,

I am never able to quench it with you.

Ice has taken from my feelings to see,

what I could feel when with you.

No amount of frozen earth,

could come close to the heat I have.

To this day I walk to hold you with everything,

Summer heat to freezing winter holding us close.

There is nothing in this life to fully understand,

how much I do love you, how much I need you still.

If I had to choose a day to have your heart in mine,

I’d pick everyday and know that we stand still in time.
