A moment to feel

What I feel inside of this moment is much more than I can take,

fighting my tears back with a smile that isn’t even mine,

a mask worn in times of adversity I stand empty.

Music is playing in my ears yet I hear nothing but you saying my name,

somehow inside of the silence is my only way of feeling you,

so close into the images sent on the whispers painting love.

You spoke thoughts feeling emotions tested in fire,

answering your call with a tender heart expecting,

I am falling deeper with each tear I hold away.

Senses making heartache endless in this eternity apart,

holding you my only goal left to achieve in your arms,

where life is so cold I am kept warm only in your heart.

The only way to dream is with you at my side,

your breath on my neck reminding me how deep love is,

finding all that was lost in a single hello.

It is cold outside, 5 degrees, 10:00, waiting am I for you,

all sounds are mixing into this second so quiet,

the phone rings, my heart stops, you are all that I need.
