Unsung heart

Autumn calling spring,

summer breaking winter,

my heart sinks into despair.

Fire cries for earth to fade,

water melts the air,

my soul anticipating the end.

Hiding my heart until she comes,

holding my pain in a glass of tears,

hoping this will not be the death of me.

Tasting love in this agonizing dream,

tempting light with my shadowy grave,

taken away from the only place I want to be.

Falling harder with each unwanted breath,

forced to stand alone in the emptiness,

forsaken by love in darkness so pure.

Beautiful pleasures caused by fate,

broken man unwinding thoughts,

becoming the very picture of loneliness.

In the arms of destiny I fall away,

intoxicated by her kiss so twistedly perfect,

insatiable lust forming in my eyes.

Leaves form into black visions,

lust takes a stand against my will,

love has broken my heart.

Waiting for time to stand still I pray,

willingness to give up I waste away,

without hope, without love, without you.
