Bathed in black

Lost somewhere in a time I don’t yet understand,
taken to places in dreams of distant lands.
Holding on as we drift away from this life,
covered in darkness, wanting the light.
A gentle brush of black finds our hearts desire,
created in water, burning with fire.
Seeing Love in all ways never before shown,
as though we always had it, but we weren’t ready to know.
As I peer into the darkness I see our Love growing strong,
my eyes are open to how I have loved you all along.
I may cry for your pain as I try to take it in me,
feeling the sickness from you trying to make it leave.
Holding you so close as the day takes away our night,
drenched in black as the Moon hides from us her light.
I don’t see the day as one of passion or pleasure just because,
every moment is beautiful, only because there is us.
I am here my Love hanging on as our dreams give up to the day,
not ever losing hope, my love will never fade.....
