Broken, bleeding, dying

The last words you said to me,

I love you baby, then you left.

Left me here to bleed,

broke me enough to die.

All images fall from my tears,

like a tide covering my soul.

Breathing death into my eyes,

imperative importance impeding doom.

Eyes filling with the blood of love,

heart beating nothing anymore.

Fears of becoming, solitude breaking,

endless endings forever fading.

Lights turn off the darkness inside,

alone with my thoughts I cry for you.

Never again will you hear me,

these tiny pieces broken are my heart.

Waiting for nothing left alone in death,

broken bleeding and dying.

A kiss never known behind my lips of pain,

touching the ice inside of my forgotten soul.

All is pointless without your voice in my ear,

speaking to my heart where I once mattered.

I have nothing to wish for anymore,

all else has died inside of me.

I can’t wake up from the nightmare you put me in,

my eyes hurt from the laughter we knew before.

Take away the sorrow in my hands too weak to hold on,

as my life ends, your world shines.
