A long way from home

I wake up and all I know is how much I need and love you,
even though you are right next to me, I need to be closer.
Inside I break away from all dreams ever leading up to now,
just trying to love you right, trying to figure this out.
A long way from home I feel at times when we part,
I never imagined I could ever love this much.
Your tears mix with mine under the seas of hope,
our hearts become one, our dreams never end.
I fall into the flowers with you in the pale moonlight,
tasting honey in your kiss as we embrace by the fire.
So warm your touch, so soft your lips,
becoming love in the nights we share.
I am on my way to an eternity set on by desire,
love comes easy, it’s distance that is hard.
As you look into my eyes I know one thing for sure,
you love me as I love you, even when miles apart....
