Exhausted I cry so weak my soul,
becoming this mangled form.
Desire to make another breath,
without hope to find myself.
Despair has taken my will,
as the wind blows my life away.
Who have I become?
On the ground face down,
broken in this world of nothing,
as all else fades I see clearly.
Picked up in shame,
knowing the depth of pain,
in her heart she gave me rest.
The light fills my eyes coming clean,
darkness falls away from my eyes.
Love in a world without love at all,
making my dreams come to life.
Where I have failed I see my way,
in her arms where I now belong.
Who have I become inside?
Drifting slowly we embrace,
under fear of nothing left within,
take me back to your heart.
Falling under new dreams,
from eyes so green and brown,
Love holding me to find rest I cry.
Destiny broken in a vision of grief,
letting go of what I couldn't see.
Holding her hands in my touch,
holding my heart in her love.
Tested by life just to find,
a world of imagination so blind.
