Awake I fall sleeping nightmares intuitive thoughts,
facing behind me death knocks on my open door.
Unable to peek, destined to walk away,
all things become one in my eyes.
Repugnant soul fleeting sorrow’s cries,
open heart shut down within enlightenment.
Am I as lost as my thoughts portray my soul?
I am trying to understand why this must make sense.
I dream while awake so I never have to sleep,
just wish I knew why, I wish I cared.
Hardly a peep from the grave sleeping love,
cold this chill is as winter smiles my way.
Moonlight pertinent to what was lost I found,
leaving leftovers crawling briskly paced desires.
Taking from the very meaning of apathy I fall,
no hatred within my heart, no reasons known as to why.
Lights I have seen, darkness I have known,
broken I became in finding who I am.
I am love in her eyes tonight, love in her heart,
pain I caused before, now placed together in hope.
Dreams are endlessly taking away from this,
our reality destined to rise after the fall.
Gazing out from the highest mountain to know,
how her sea is deep, how deep her love is true.
