Standing dream

Blood spilt rivers cried broken soul,

unable to mix into life fading death.

Eyes dark bright sky painted black,

reminiscing forgotten memories.

Hopes taken into fear sleeping dreams,

falling up floating rain pouring clouds.

Tested failing forsaken accepted heart,

crying smiles recalling tomorrows yesterday.

Love apathy breaking loneliness inside,

eyes shut tight seeing what’s become.

My soul cringing pain this anguish,

tormented man holding woman close.

Squirming touch moving still running water,

flames cold ice burning from the inside.

Music plays silent drums calling dance,

Broken heart, dying soul, alone I stand.
