My wings are weak,
I fall.
Each failed attempt,
mislaid.
My eyes too blind,
I cry.
In my heart is love,
I survive.
Crashing emotions filling my will for hanging on,
unable to speak with words I use my blood.
My heart speaks loudly yet nobody can hear,
a language unlike anything felt in the light.
Sorrow hits me hard,
I weep.
Loneliness grips me,
I fade.
Blackness covers my soul,
I bleed.
Desires fall from view,
my fate.
Red flowers painted black inside of my heart,
a rose felt as I shake beneath.
My every move mimicked by life and death,
calling me out with darkness unveiled.
Love seeks my touch,
I’m there.
Hopes remind me,
I stand.
Dreams burning my soul,
I awaken.
Death becomes me,
not today.
Whispering thoughts as this love surrounds me,
waking each thought with new emotional ties.
Holding up my heart in the light covered by fate,
where in my shadows love is made whole.
